iSOFT Business Solutions wins contract with Commission for Irish Aviation Regulation

Integrated Business Software and Solutions, a market leader in providing world-class financial accounting software, procurement and bespoke solutions to service-centric organisations, today announced it has won a contract with the Commission for Irish Aviation Regulation to develop a Licensing and Complaints System that will allow tour operators, travel agents and airlines to apply and renew their licences online. The system, which replaces an old paper-based process, will generate notifications at various process milestones, and provide accurate and timely responses to customer queries and complaints. All of this will take place within a secure hosted environment where information is entered by the parties and uploaded for approval by the Commission. With the new system, the Commission for Aviation Regulation, which regulates certain aspects of the aviation and travel trade sectors in Ireland, will be able to: - provide access to the system, via a secure login, for up to 400 applicants; - allow tour operators, travel agents and airlines to apply and renew their licences online; - provide system-generated notifications at various process milestones; - allow previous applications to be recalled; - allow the user to enter information such as business, organisational or general information and financial details on the form; - allow documents such as PDF to be attached to the application and viewed online and printed as necessary; and - provide accurate and timely responses to customer queries and complaints. Eamonn Morris, Managing Director of Integrated Business Software and Solutions, said, "IBSS has been providing off-the-shelf and bespoke software solutions for over 30 years. These solutions have enabled our customers to gain a significant competitive advantage, to streamline business process flows, to increase efficiency and productivity, and to produce significant cost savings. We have developed a reputation for delivering our projects in partnership with our customers, on time, within budget and to specification. This win highlights the importance of the services offered, and underpins our reputation in the marketplace". Alan Richardson, Manager of Travel Trade, said, "IBSS has a highly experienced project team with a track record of delivering similar distributed systems and an in-depth knowledge of the public sector. The company's partnership approach to the development was another important factor in their selection". It was established on 27th February 2001 under the Aviation Regulation Act, 2001.
